Supporting this farmer's movement, the Congress President has announced that all the people of the Congress Party will always be associated with all the farmers and agitators involved in this farmer's movement.
Farmers of Punjab-Haryana-Rajasthan-Uttar Pradesh adjacent to Delhi have been demanding MSP from the Modi government. The government listened to the farmers and kept promising to give MSP, but never gave it. Modi government has not given MSP to the farmers after promising them.
Not only this, the Modi government has imposed GST on agricultural equipment used in agriculture, due to which agricultural goods have become more expensive than before. Besides, the Modi government also gave control over the agriculture market to industrial houses like Adani. Due to this, farmers do farm investing capital, but industrialists like Adani get the benefit.
This is the reason why farmers are coming to protest in Delhi
demanding MSP. Farmers say that this time a do-or-die situation has arisen for
us. We will return home only after taking MSP from the Modi government of
Delhi.
