A small
village of Dalits with 80 houses in Nawada Bihar was set on fire.
Dalits did not get burnt in this fire incident, but their earned property has been reduced to ashes. So much of their property has been burnt that it will take them many years to rebuild it. Apart from this, they will always live in the shadow of fear. Now these Dalits will not be able to raise their heads in front of these modern landlords. Now the life of these Dalits is not safe in Bihar. It will not be wrong to say this, but it will be an understatement.
To say that
there is jungle raj in Bihar is an understatement. Now the rule which was there
during the British rule - in the times of the landlords, if the Dalits had to
be driven away, if they had to be burdened with debt, then the settlement of
Dalits was set on fire. The same has happened in Bihar today.
The landlord
government of the British rule has come to power in Bihar. The freedom struggle
in India was fought to end this system. Nohru, Gandhi, Ambedkar fought. After
independence, Lalu Prasad Yadav fought in Bihar. As Lalu Prasad Yadav is losing
power, atrocities on Dalits are increasing in Bihar and the British type of
Zamindari government is coming to power in Bihar.
