Did the law allow this procession to immerse the idol of the goddess or to uproot the Muslim flag and hoist a saffron flag in its place?
Did the law allow this procession to immerse the idol of the
goddess or to uproot the Muslim flag and hoist a saffron flag in its place?
Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh was burnt. Burned in the fire of
religion. This fire has destroyed many homes, businesses and livelihoods. Some
people kept pleading before the rioters that they had nothing to do with this
riot. But the rioters did not listen to them and the riot engulfed them as
well.
The news is that one person has lost his life in this riot
and the person who lost his life belongs to the Hindu community. And he also
belongs to the Brahmin community. The person who died in the Bahraich riot died
due to a bullet injury. The police should give priority to the fact in their
investigation that why did this riot take place in Bahraich? Action should be
taken on the answer to this question. This will ensure that India will be saved
from such riots in the future.
The foundation of pushing Bahraich into the fire of riots was
laid when the people of a Hindu organization involved in the procession taken
out for the immersion of the goddess tore off the religious flag hoisted on a
Muslim's house and threw it away. A person involved in the procession climbed
up a Muslim's house and tore off the religious flag hoisted on the roof of the
house. He even pulled down the railing of the roof. After that, he hoisted a
saffron flag in place of the Muslim flag.
The news is that the person who tore off the Muslim flag and
hoisted a saffron flag in its place was shot and then killed. Who did this is a
big question and an even bigger question is who got this done and with whose
support did that person climb up the roof of a Muslim's house and tore off the
Muslim flag hoisted on the roof and hoisted a saffron flag there.
Why did the procession taken out for the immersion of the
goddess in Bahraich go astray after seeing a Muslim flag on the way? Here, the
question does not arise whether the law permitted this procession to immerse
the idol or to uproot the Muslim flag and hoist a saffron flag in its place?
This is a very big and important question whose answer is hidden in the culprit
of Bahraich's destruction.
