During Ratan Tata's tenure, Tata company set a record of
buying many famous foreign companies. During his tenure, the Tata Group
acquired Jaguar, Land Rover and Corus, after which Tata built a big empire in
the world's automobile industry. After this, the Indian company Tata
transformed from a large India-centric group to a global business. It is known
as a very big achievement in the history of India's industry. Ratan Tata ji
will be remembered for his incomparable contribution to the industry of India
as well as to the social, political, secular and strengthening of the
Constitution of India.
Ratan Tata ji is known as an era in the industrial world of
India. He changed the theory of earning profit in industry and took it towards
social welfare. He was the chairman of India's largest business unit, Tata
Group, from 1991 to 2012. In addition, he was also the Executive Chairman of
the group from October 2016 to February 2017. He also served for a long time as
the Chairman of Tata Group and Tata Sons. Under his leadership, the Tata Group expanded globally and
made several important acquisitions. After receiving the third highest civilian
honour Padma Bhushan in 2000, he received India's second highest civilian honour
Padma Vibhushan in 2008. Ratan Tata said goodbye to the world after midnight on 9th
October. He breathed his last in the air of India between 2 to 3 in the night.
