BJP's internal body RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that India got real independence on the day of construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and its Praan Pratishtha. His statement has generated huge anger among the supporters of the Constitution and the opposition. Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has called Mohan Bhagwat's statement a treasonous statement. Gandhi said that if someone had said this in any other country, he would have been arrested.

On the anti-constitution and anti-national statement of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, India's Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said that Mohan Bhagwat's statement that India did not get independence in 1947 means that both the fight against the British and the Constitution are invalid. Saying so is actually treason. In any other country, he would have been arrested for saying so.

By saying that India did not get independence in 1947, he has insulted every Indian and now the time has come that we stop listening to such nonsense.

On the other hand, Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has also given a strong reaction to this statement of Mohan Bhagwat. He said that these people did not even hoist the tricolor. After a lot of criticism, these people started hoisting the tricolor. They can also say later that India will get real freedom when reservation will end. Tejashwi said that we want to ask Mohan Bhagwat that when did the backward and Dalits get freedom! Actually, these people want to distract the country from the main issue. Today, the rupee is falling against the dollar and has reached 86 rupees. These people are taking the country on the path of slavery. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has also sharply criticized Mohan Bhagwat's statement. He said - It is a matter of shame to deny the Independence Day. Modi also believes that the country got independence when he became the Prime Minister. Similarly, Mohan Bhagwat is also believing so. These people are saying this because their people never fought for freedom, never went to jail for the country! That is why these people do not remember. We remember because our people died for freedom, suffered for freedom, left their homes, that is why we remember and they do not remember!
