The Jharkhand government has accused the central government of giving less money to the state government for social upliftment.
Kalpana Soren, a minister in Jharkhand's Hemant Soren government, while accusing the BJP's central government in the House, said that even in such backbreaking inflation, the central government gives only Rs 200 to 300 to the needy people for social security. Whereas the state government of Jharkhand gives one thousand rupees.
The central government, which calls itself a government of the poor, gives only two hundred to three hundred rupees to the poor in Jharkhand for their upliftment. Whereas the state government of Jharkhand is giving one thousand to fifteen hundred and twenty-five hundred rupees per month to the poor for social upliftment and to give them economic strength.
Kalpana Soren said that what can be done with 200 to three hundred rupees in this rising inflation. It has become difficult to eat bread in this backbreaking inflation. Knowing all this, the central government gives only two-hundred to three-hundred rupees to the poor for social upliftment. The central government should increase the amount given for social upliftment from Rs. 200 to Rs. 300 to at least Rs. 1000 per month.
The central government, which claims to provide free treatment to the elderly, gives only Rs. 200 per month to the elderly as old age pension. Whereas the state government of Jharkhand gives Rs. 1000 per month to the elderly.
The central government, which claims to be a government dedicated to women and takes women's votes, gives only Rs. 300 per month to widows.
This amount cannot be considered as any help for a widow in this inflation. Whereas the state government of Jharkhand gives Rs. 1000 per month. The central government gives Rs. 300 per month to the handicapped. Whereas the state government of Jharkhand is giving Rs. 1000.
Kalpana Soren said in the House that in this era of inflation and in the name of social upliftment, giving two-hundred to three-hundred rupees to the needy people seems like a joke. It seems that the poor are being made fun of.
Before Jharkhand, the West Bengal government has made similar allegations against the Centre. The Central officials had not given food grains to the Karnataka government as well. Due to which the Karnataka government had to pay money in lieu of food grains. Former Chief Minister of Bihar, Smt. Rabri Devi ji also said in the House recently that in our time when Atal ji's government was in power at the Centre, he used to give small amounts of money to Bihar which was not sufficient.
