Dadasaheb Phalke Award and India's popular actor and producer Manoj Kumar, who was famous by the nickname Bharat Kumar, has now said goodbye to this world. Manoj Kumar lived for 87 years. His last farewell was done with great pomp and show as per Hindu rituals.

If we talk about Manoj Kumar's acting and his hit films, it will take a long time but it will not end. The list of such films of his is very long, in which he has left a different and indelible mark on the audience with his acting.

It is said that Manoj Kumar played the role of a beggar in his first film, after a long time of hard work he managed to emerge as a star.

Manoj Kumar's film career started in 1957 with 'Fashion', which continued with uninterrupted popularity till 1980-81. During this period, he acted in some such films which gave a direct glimpse of his multi-faceted personality.

The characters played by Manoj Kumar in films still leave people's minds scratched. His five films - Upkaar in (1967), Purva Aur Paschim in (1970), Shor in (1972), Roti Kapda Aur Makaan in (1974) and Kranti in (1981) are those films due to which people called Manoj Kumar Desh Bhakt Manoj Kumar.

His acting cannot be compared with any other actor. He was such an actor who is not compared with any other actor, rather he is called a patriotic actor. The fight for the respect and rights of India, Indian farmers, women, Indian culture etc. has been depicted exactly through acting. He has made them memorable with his acting. Due to this acting, Manoj Kumar is known as 'Bharat Kumar'. Today Bharat Kumar has left his country India, but actor Manoj Kumar, who fought for the respect of his country through acting, will always be remembered on this holy land of India as a patriotic actor.
